Latest happenings and a new mayor
Ok so I finally bought a vehicle. I got a 1997 Isuzu Rodeo. It's black and its an old beater, and I have to go Monday and buy a tag and a starter for it, but it aint bad for $700. I think I'm falling for someone again, and I hope this time it means something real. In other news, William Bell won the election and is on the job on 3rd floor City Hall. Hopefully the citizens of Birmingham made the right choice.

Number 13
The last time Alabama won the National Championship I was not yet five. I can only remember Gene Stallings smiling on the fuzzy television in our living room in Birmingport.
Now, I’m going on 23 and I couldn’t be more elated. Over the past eighteen years I’ve watched the Tide go through scandals, terrible seasons, and numerous coaches.
Three years ago Nick Saban arrived at Birmingham International and every Tide fan, including myself, somehow knew he was going to be our savior. It was said then that he very well could be the new Bear Bryant. Obviously we were right.
For a man to come in to what was the most awful team in the nation and turn it around and win the Tide’s thirteenth crystal pigskin is a feat I’ve never before witnessed and probably never will again. I have said it to myself many a time and I feel it is safe and less blasphemous to say it aloud and in public now. If Bear Bryant was Alabama’s football god, then Nick Saban is our messiah.
This is not something you see every day. This is not a dream. This is real. For many years 12 has been a symbolic number at Bryant-Denny. Now 13 is the magic number.
This is our future. This is our legacy. This is our present. This is our future. We are the Alabama Crimson Tide and no one in the world is better than us.

One stupid fuck.
I guess I should have seen this coming. I forgot to tie up a loose end and it wound up becoming a noose. So now instead of being with the one I really like I'm all alone and I am one stupid fuck.
Trace Adkins is A-Freakin-Genius
So I've listened to this new single that Trace Adkins is out with. I missed it on the local radio but saw it on the song history and it made me say hmmm. I finally found a listen only copy on ilike.com and gave it a listen. I was blown away. So I recommend if you're thinking about giving country music a try- Ala-Freakin-Bama by Trace Adkins. I'm still rockin to it and its been off for ten minutes now...

The Inevitable! I think I'm In Love! And The Challenges Ahead!
O.K. so it's down to either Patrick Cooper or William Bell. Down to two from thirteen. It's a good start. Hopefully one of them will do a good job. Hopefully the other one isn't the one who wins in January. May the best man win.
I think I'm in love again. I know this girl in Niceville, Florida. She seems to really like me. We'll see how it goes.
I have decided it's time to face Aunt Marie and hope her and Uncle Shorty understand that the reason I walked out without a word was very plain and truly heartfelt- I was going to kill myself and I didn't want to make them worry and i sure as hell didn't want to have anything of the sort around little Leighanne. She drives me crazy but I can't stand her to be upset and I couldn't live with myself if she saw or even heard about me doing that.
So I'm going to explain myself and hope that it's not the end of a five year friendship that was more like my second family.

Tim Tebow Cries! People Give Me Flak! And Were A Day Away From The Election!!
After the substantial whipping that the Florida Gators took from my Alabama Crimson Tide, I saw something that was touching yet funny: Tim Tebow was crying. Here was this tough guy, about to go off to the NFL and forget Florida, and he's crying. Wow. Either he's more dedicated to his program than I imagine or he's a wuss. Jury is still out on that one. And I've been having people get on my back for talking about his crying like it was hilaruious. Well, it is. While I would be crying if Alabama had lost, Alabama won, so that alone makes it funny.
And tomorrow we elect our third mayor in two months. $5.00 says they won't last two months.

Really?
I read in The Birmingham News yesterday that Larry Langford has endorsed Willam Bell as the best choice for Brimingham's next mayor. "I'm going to jail, so, vote for this guy!!"
