“...What I've learned is that a great love is a lot like a good memory. When it's there and you know its there, but it's just out of your reach, it can be all that you think about. You can focus on it and try to force it, but the more you do, the more you seem to push it away. But if you're patient, and you hold still, then maybe, just maybe, it'll come to you. I just need to make sure I'm somewhere that she can find me.”-Private Leonard Church, RedvsBlue Revelation Ep. 20.

A New Beginning?
OK. So nothing has changed other than Dad moved to Panama City and the Personnel Board of Jefferson County finally started accepting applications for Firefighter for this year. I applied and I am waiting for the test to be given.
I haven't heard anything out of Cynthia. Or her mom for that matter, but that's a good thing. I don't think I could keep a hold of my temper if she suddenly spoke to me.
Someday soon I will have another car and I will get a house, even if it's a rental. And then we shall see what Cynthia decides.
Hopefully she will decide that she has had enough of Susan's stupidity.

Fucking hell on a stick!
Its happened again. After three years I willingly laid my heart on the chopping block and this is what has happened:
I went to jail for some old tickets on June 5. June 8th or so the jailer tells me that my girlfriend and her family tried to get my truck keys but they couldn't get them cause none of them had a driver's license.
Two weeks later I finally get her on the phone and she tells me her parents have taken the car away and her phone. This girl is 23 fucking years old.
Fast forward to July 21. I get out of jail. The next couple days I sit at home happy to be there. Then I try to text my girlfriend and I realize something completely and utterly stupid has happened.
Apparently, it's MY FAULT they got tickets for driving without a license. MY FAULT Cynthia got her shit taken from her. MY FAULT the stupid bitch broke me and my love up. Susan Swann has to be the dumbest person I have ever had the displeasure of attempting a civilized and intelligent conversation with.
Never mind the fact that it would be common sense to sit and think "Hmm, I'm going to the police station to get my daughter's boyfriend's car keys. In my car. With a suspended license. Maybe this isn't a good idea because the police are probably going to check my license."
Instead it goes, "They ain't gonna check my license I'm not in my car while I'm talking to them." and then "This mother fucker got me a ticket. Told them I didn't have a license. Well, he ain't got a girlfriend no more, and she ain't got a car or a phone anymore."
Jesus please someone tell me I can legally kill her. She isn't smart enough to be a human being.

My life is now as good as it once was
So I got invited to Forestdale for the weekend. She told me her mom invited me. I'm thinking this was her idea and her mom went along with it. In any case, despite my fears and the lack of the US Marines, I went. And Survived. And I got her back. The road ahead is far from smooth, I know there's a lot we have to go through. But at least we're going down the road together. And I couldn't be happier.

A Dream
She came to me in another dream the other night. We met on the southside. Her mom was with us. The plan was to catch the trolley to the courthouse. We went into Raymond's and I bought us all a coke. We got on the trolley. And I woke up.

A Dream. The City's new Kenworths. And some other interesting things.
She was in my dreams last night. She had either snuck out to see me (shocker) or the evil one had let her out (another shocker). I didn't care one way or the other. We drove around the city generally having a good time. Only God knows what that means.
I had seen a couple over the past few weeks. I saw one that I'll be glad when I can get a picture of it. The city of Birmingham has started buying Kenworths rather than Internationals. Here's two from Streets and Sanitation I snapped behind the Municipal Garage yesterday.
And I have noticed that something is really wrong. I don't know what, but it is.
